St. Mark’s sixth graders visit with students from The North Florida School of Special Education several times during the school year. The goal of this service learning is for our students to experience building unique relationships by spending time with children who have intellectual differences.
This year, several afternoons of fun have been spent at the North Florida School for everyone to participate in P.E. classes and special projects. Last Friday, many of the North Florida students traveled to our campus. Smiles and laughter filled the Commons as everyone enjoyed music and movement.
We are very blessed with the opportunity to have this experience, and the students are looking forward to their next visits.
