On Friday, October 3, we celebrated our students' creativity by participating in the Global Cardboard Challenge! Over the course of two weeks, our 4th - 6th grade students used their resourcefulness, critical thinking, and teamwork skills to create interactive games and activities made from cardboard and other recycled materials. They met during lunch and art class to collaborate on their ideas and put their designs into motion. Once their projects were completed, they invited our K - 3rd students come to test out their creations which included skee ball, ping pong, bowling, basketball, obstacle courses, and much more.
The Global Cardboard Challenge is an annual event presented by the Imagination Foundation that celebrates child creativity and the role communities can play in fostering it. This September, kids of all ages were invited to build anything they could dream up using cardboard, recycled materials, and their imagination.
