Grace Egan ‘10, will return to St. Mark's to be the guest speaker at the graduation ceremony for the Class of 2019.
Since graduating from St. Mark's, Grace attended Episcopal School of Jacksonville for middle school and then went to St. Andrew’s School in Middletown, DE for high school. During her time at St. Andrew’s, she captained three varsity sports: field hockey, squash, and crew. Additionally, Grace ran the Adaptive Aquatics program, which is a service program teaching elementary through high school students with varying levels of physical and mental abilities how to swim. She also sang in the school’s acapela group for four years.
Grace is currently a rising senior at Duke University studying Political Science and International Studies. She is very involved in the refugee community in Durham, NC and abroad; conducting research in refugee populations in Durham and Amman, Jordan. Additionally, Grace runs a youth mentoring program for refugee children in local middle schools and is a Camp Kesem counselor where she works with children whose parents have or have had cancer. She is also a student representative for the office of the President.
