Announcing: A Vision for Art

WHAT:  A Vision for Art, presented by Haskell, will be held April 26 – April 30 on the campus of St. Mark’s Episcopal Day School. This 5 day art exhibit, appealing to art aficionados and casual collectors alike, will feature a collection of more than 35 select artists and anticipates an attendance of over 1,000 people from across the region. Honorary chairs for this event are Joan and Preston Haskell. Art will be curated by Space42.
 
Admission will be free during Open Shopping Hours (listed below). Free childcare will be available on Saturday and Sunday, April 27 & 28. There will also be an Opening Night Celebration on the evening of Friday, April 26 from 7-10 PM. Tickets are available for $85 per person, and include early access to view and purchase artwork, open bar, catered hors d’oeuvres, entertainment, and an opportunity to meet the artists.
 
WHY: The goal of A Vision for Art is to enhance the fine arts program at St. Mark’s Episcopal Day School, while showcasing established and emerging artists from both our community and across the country.
 
The event will feature new, original works by more than 35 artists, spanning all price points. Media categories include acrylic painting, drawing, mixed media, oil, photography, watercolor, and printmaking in a variety of styles.
 
Participating artists will be working with each grade level of students at St. Mark’s Episcopal Day School to provide them the opportunity to interact with artists and the creative process. The student masterpieces will be available in a silent auction during the 5 day exhibit.
