Due to the constant and relentless usage by authors all over our school, an extensive list of words has reached the point of exhaustion. As a result of the over exertion, all words on the list suffered a collapse and were unable to be revived.
Sixth graders laid these words to rest with a Funeral for Dead Words. For each word, students created a headstone with an epitaph and (sorrowfully) delivered a somber, yet inspiring eulogy which included creative synonyms as survivors that will live on through their writing. Through the loss of these "dead" words, our authors will be inspired by a creative and eloquent vocabulary. Mourners may come visit the final resting place of these words for the remainder of the week.
