First graders have spent this school year exploring the habitats, life cycles, food chains, and interesting facts about all kinds of animals. A highlight of their studies was a special learning trip to Marineland. They celebrated a special focus on sea animals with a presentation for their peers and families by transforming the Lori Schiavone Commons into an underwater ocean experience.
Dioramas, haikus, essays, artwork, and messages-in-a-bottle were on display for visitors as a video of the first graders reading their reports played on the big screen. Students from all grade levels visited the experience. Following the presentations first graders enjoyed special underwater themed treats!
