Brothers and alumni, James Robison '94 (right), and Jack Robison ’98 (left), founded Grassroots Natural Market in 2006. As a healthy alternative in Riverside, Grassroots serves freshly squeezed juices, homemade take-away food, craft beers, organic wines and everything else needed for a healthy lifestyle. They wanted to fill a void in our local community with a true neighborhood market that focuses on healthy and tasty organic and local goods. For them it has been fun and rewarding, but certainly a challenging experience to see the business grow and employ a team of around 30 great people.
James studied Liberal Arts at Furman University, prior to graduating from the University of North Florida with a degree in Economics with a concentration in Finance.
James and his wife, Sarah, welcomed a new son, Fox Taylor Robison, to the family on February 4, 2017.
Anna Robison Michal ’00, graduated from Auburn University in 2009 with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management with a minor in Business. After graduation, she joined her brothers at Grassroots. Anna is married and has two daughters, Finley who is currently in the kindergarten at St. Mark’s and Frances who will join the Early Learning Program at St. Mark’s in the fall.
Their advice to fellow St. Mark’s Lions: “The life skills we learned at St. Mark’s made us who we are today, and we are forever grateful to our teachers. Enjoy your time at St. Mark’s. It’s an amazing school, and you all are very fortunate to have such a great opportunity to learn!”
