Girls Inspiring Girls

What is GIGGLES?
The founding of GIGGLES took place in 2008 and was motivated by Mrs. Nott's desire to be intentional about investing in the social development among girls in elementary school. GIGGLES is an acronym for Girls Inspiring Girls to Grow, Love, Empathize and Serve. St. Mark's fully embraced the launch of GIGGLES as an after-school enrichment.
Many girls in 4th through 6th grade gather together after school on Mondays to participate in activities to reinforce the following goals: grow in unity, love unconditionally, empathize sincerely and serve unselfishly.

Mrs. Nott shares, "I feel humbly grateful to serve at a school that deeply values character development among the students. I consistently witness faculty and staff at St. Mark's who are eager to come alongside parents as we seek to "train up children in the way they should go," (Proverbs 22:6). GIGGLES effectively compliments the mission of St. Mark's. We sure do hear lots of giggles from the girls who participate in this inaugural enrichment."
Mrs. Nott has heard a buzz among the boys in 4th through 6th grade who are interested to learn more about a similar opportunity for them. She had a light bulb moment when the realization hit that the acronym works for boys too: "Guys Inspiring Guys!"

Keep watch to see what is on the horizon for GIGGLES at St. Mark's.
