Illnesses:
CHILDREN WHO HAVE A FEVER, VOMITING, AND/OR DIARRHEA MUST BE KEPT AT HOME UNTIL SYMPTOM-FREE (without medication) FOR TWENTY-FOUR HOURS. With any contagious disease or condition, please keep your child at home to avoid the spread of illness.
Students at school with a fever of 100 degrees F or more will be sent home.
The CDC recommends the seasonal flu vaccine and the H1N1 vaccine (when available) as the first and most important step in protecting against the flu this year.
Seasonal flu shots will be available to the St. Mark’s Church and School community on Wednesday, September 23, from 5-6:30 p.m. in the Church Library. Seasonal flu shots, available for 6 months of age through adult, are $25/dose, and pneumonia shots (vaccine good for 5 years) are $40/dose. Cash Only Please. Insurance plans are not necessary and will not be accepted.
The H1N1 (Swine Flu) vaccine is expected to be available sometime in October. We have plans in place to welcome our school and church community to take advantage of these H1N1 vaccines for $10/dose. Please keep watch for further details.
