Fruit of the Spirit
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.” Galatians 5:22
Each of the nine fruits is assigned to a month of the school year. The fruit of the month is taught in Christian Education classes in grades one through six. Students and teachers vote for a peer who exemplifies this fruit in daily living, nominating them as “Lion Hearted.” Those nominated receive awards weekly during Wednesday chapel. In grades 4-6 the students are known as “Lion Hearted Leaders.” With this title comes additional responsibility and conflict resolution skills, as they are looked up to by others.
