Admission Process
Early Learning Program I & II
Children entering Early Learning Program I must be one year old before September 1. Children entering Early Learning Program II must be two years old before September 1.
- Please complete and return the Application for Admission, along with a check in the amount of $50 for the non-refundable application fee. Indicate the days of the week you would like your child to attend the program.
- You will be contacted in mid-February confirming the availability of space for your child.
- School admission policy states siblings of current students, children of alumni, and parishioners of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church are given priority.
- If there is space available for your child, you will be contacted and mailed the enrollment materials. To ensure a space for your child, this information and the enrollment deposit must be returned. A place on the class list is not assured until the entire enrollment process is complete and the enrollment deposit has been paid.
Pre-Kindergarten I
Children entering Pre-Kindergarten I must be three years old before September 1, and completely potty trained.
- Please complete and return the Application for Admission, along with a check in the amount of $50 for the non-refundable application fee. Indicate the days of the week you would like your child to attend the program.
- You will be contacted in mid-February confirming the availability of space for your child.
- School admission policy states siblings of current students, children of alumni, and parishioners of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church are given priority.
- If there is space available for your child, you will be contacted and mailed the enrollment materials. To ensure a space for your child, this information and the enrollment deposit must be returned. Pre-Kindergarten II – Sixth Grade
- Please complete and return the Application for Admission, along with a check in the amount of $50 for the non-refundable application fee.
- A Teacher Recommendation Form is mailed by St. Mark’s Episcopal Day School to the applicant’s current teacher or school administrator. The individual completing the recommendation must return this form directly to the St. Mark’s Admission Office.
- Following receipt of the application and application fee, students entering Pre-Kindergarten II through Sixth Grade will spend a day visiting in a classroom at St. Mark’s. The Director of Enrollment will arrange this visit providing the child with a firsthand experience at the school. In Pre-K II and K, during this visit, an evaluation will be given. In first – sixth grades, the student will come another morning for an evaluation.
- A non-refundable testing fee of $50 is due on the day the student visits St. Mark’s and the evaluation is administered.
Open Enrollment: Students currently enrolled and their siblings are given enrollment priority. Following re-enrollment of current students, class openings will be filled with new applicants. School admission policy states siblings of current students, children of alumni, and parishioners of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church are given priority. Contracts and enrollment information will be offered to new students during the third week of February.
Enrollment Dates: The enrollment forms and student contract must be signed by both parents and returned to the school office with a check in the amount of the enrollment deposit by the stated deadline.
Waiting Lists: In the event a grade is at capacity, a qualified applicant will be placed on the waiting list, and notification will be sent to the family. When a space is available you will be contacted.
St. Mark’s must have the following information on file before your child will be able to attend:
- State of Florida Health Form (yellow)
- Current Immunization Record (blue)
- Copy of child’s birth certificate or passport
