Science
The exciting and interactive science program fosters a love of learning and excitement for the world around us. Science is an integral part of child’s education at St. Mark’s, beginning with center-based activities in the early grades. In first through third grade, inquiry-based curriculum and hands-on learning are added to the program. The use of texts, activities, field trips, and other resources promote a practical understanding of important science concepts while critical thinking is emphasized.
Science classes are taught in a state-of-the-art science laboratory. The lab is equipped with the Davis Weather Station used for weather observation, and an ecosystem tank used for animal observation.
