After School Enrichment Program
Children are unique, and so are their interests! St. Mark’s After School Enrichment programs are available to students who want to further a specific interest.
Activities are available for children in kindergarten through sixth grade and are taught by St. Mark’s faculty and other specialized and qualified personnel.

What Happens If . . . . .
For first – sixth graders with Mrs. Barkas and Mrs. Stephens
What happens if you mix water, baby oil, and food coloring? Or, did you know you can make a wiggle worm from an ordinary straw? Come join us on Mondays for a new creating adventure in science. Projects will be age/grade tailored.

Choristers -Includes Free Piano Lessons!!
ONLY A FEW SPACES REMAINING! Children in second grade and up are invited to join St. Mark’s Choristers, the church’s children’s choir program. The Choristers receive free piano lessons. They rehearse Tuesday afternoons after school and sing at 8:45 a.m. in the church (1st and 3rd Sundays). Click here for more information.

Introduction to Guitar,Third-Sixth Grade

Percussion, Kindergarten-Third Grade
For K-3rd with Ronan School of Music
Experience the power and excitement of playing drums and other percussion instruments in a group. Learn to work as a group by playing individual parts both by listening to and reading music. Experiment with personal expression through improvisation and work on maintaining a part while others play different parts all around them. It’s a loud, fun time!

For Kindergarten – third graders with Mrs. Cozart
Create, explore, invent, build! Utilizing over 20,000 Lego pieces, your young Master Brick Builder will have the opportunity to build critical thinking and problem solving skills, self reliance, and confidence while using their imagination. Explore how things work and encourage inquisitiveness! Lego’s and building mat provided.

The Chinese New Year is the most anticipated holiday on the Chinese calendar. The two-week-long holiday culminates with the celebration of the Lantern Festival. Come learn about the superstitions, history and ceremonies of the Chinese New Year and Lantern Festival. Students will create Chinese New Year decorations (crafts, calligraphy, etc.), sample Chinese snacks, play Chinese games, learn many new songs and learn useful ways to use Chinese related to these two holidays. *Please note, this class emphasizes both language and culture. It is not full-immersion, and much of the instruction will be conduced in English.
