Fifth Grade Mentors Reading

St. Mark’s students are helping those at Ortega Elementary. On Friday, October 7,  fifth graders walked down the street to spend 25 minutes with Ms. Reilly’s 2nd grade class at Ortega Elementary. This was the first of eight trips planned throughout the year in partnership with them to mentor reading.  The students had a great time!

On Friday, October 14, Mrs. Ropp’s fifth graders walked to Ortega Elementary to mentor reading with Ms. Murray’s Kindergarten class. They are building great friendships with each other!
